Latest Update: 2025 Toyota Crown Signia SUV debuts in November 2023, but will go on sale in summers 2024.
Toyota expands its vehicle lineup with the introduction of the 2025 Crown Signia, a cutting-edge hybrid-electric SUV set to hit the market next summer. This addition to Toyota’s repertoire in the United States complements the existing Crown sedan, enriching the company’s diverse automotive offerings.
Under the hood, the sole powertrain option is Toyota’s Hybrid Electric Vehicle system, combining a robust 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors. The system boasts three distinct driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. Eco prioritizes battery range and fuel efficiency, while Sport elevates the throttle response for a more dynamic driving experience. Additionally, an EV Mode allows the Crown to operate solely on electricity at low speeds, covering short distances with ease.
Generating a formidable 243 horsepower, the hybrid system delivers an impressive fuel efficiency of 36 miles per gallon combined. The electronic all-wheel drive, a standard feature, incorporates a rear-mounted electric motor propelling the back wheels. This SUV can tow up to 2,700 pounds, equipped with a continuously variable transmission.
Inside the cabin, the driver is greeted by a 12.3-inch customizable digital instrument cluster, complemented by another 12.3-inch screen serving as the central hub for infotainment. Standard features include eight-way power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, a vertical wireless charger in the center console, and three USB-C ports. Rear-seat passengers enjoy two ports, dedicated air vents, cup holders, and seatback pockets, with the option for heated and ventilated seats.
Toyota offers the Crown in two trims, XLE and Limited, each distinguished by unique wheels and seating materials. The XLE features multi-spoke, 19-inch black-accented two-tone alloy wheels and fabric and SofTex-trimmed seats. On the other hand, the Limited boasts larger, 21-inch dark gray metallic alloy wheels and double-stitched leather-trimmed seats.
Inside, the Crown’s interior exudes sophistication with bronze-finished trim adorning the dashboard, steering wheel, and center console. The auditory experience varies between the trims, with a six-speaker sound system in the XLE and an 11-speaker JBL Premium setup in the Limited, complete with a subwoofer. The versatile 60/40 second-row fold-flat seats, when down, reveal a spacious cargo area accessible through the hands-free power liftgate.
Customers can choose from five exterior colors: Storm Cloud, Finish Line Red, Oxygen White, Black, and Bronze Age. The interior palette offers a choice between Saddle Tan or Black, available in both the XLE and Limited grades.
Safety takes center stage with the inclusion of Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 as a standard feature. This comprehensive safety suite comprises pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, road sign assist, automatic high beams, and more. For those seeking additional safety features, an optional Advanced Technology Package, including lane change assist and a panoramic view monitor, is available for the Limited trim.
