While the GX will eventually offer a hybrid variant, this eco-friendly option will not be available at its initial launch. However, when it does arrive, it is likely to feature a 2.4-liter turbo petrol engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, drawing inspiration from the acclaimed setup found in the RX500h F Sport Performance model.

In the RX500h F Sport Performance, the hybrid configuration boasts an astounding 273kW of power, derived from a 202kW/460Nm petrol engine and two electric motor generators, producing 64kW/292Nm (front) and 76kW/169Nm (rear).

The GX550 Luxury and Luxury+ models are capable of towing 3170kg and 3075kg, respectively. However, it remains to be seen if these measurements will be applicable in Australia.
