2026 Byd Sealion 8 is a seven-seat plug-in full size hybrid SUV in early 2026, marking the largest SUV for export markets. It has a tree power layout, with seven passengers adjusted, including a first -class interior that includes leather options, heat and ventilated massage seats and all rows include double digital screens and advanced climate control in all rows. The design of Celian 8 is a development of the sea chain to Byd, with a younger sibling, Celsius 7, and a more traditional SUV than a more traditional SUV-back boot instead of a back style behind.

Powertrain options for Celian 8 include two plug-in hybrid variants built on the latest 5.0 platforms for Byd: DM-I and performance-oriented DM-P. Both use a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing about 148 hp and 220 Nm, which is combined with electric motors and lithium core phosphate blade batteries. The DM-I variant has a 19 kWh battery and a single electric motor, distributing 200 kW (268 hp) and 315 Nm, which receives 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. DM-P 141 kw (189 hp) and 360 Nm add a large 35.6 kWh battery and a rear electric motor, enabling the time for al-wheel drive and a sporty 0-100 km/h, just 4.9 seconds, competing with some altitude Demonstrations SUVs.

Sealian 8 is equipped with a wide suit of advanced security and convenience technologies, including LED heads and tail lights, adaptive cruise control, lane, blind spot detection and automatic emergency braking. Internal features include BYD’s large rotating infotainment screen, wireless and USB-C telephone chargers, ambient lights, a panoramic sunroof with electric Solid and an underlying scent dispenser.
