Latest Update: 2023 Volkswagen ID3 to release arrived in 2023, with a starting price of $46,350.

According to official design sketches that Volkswagen released today, the original ID-badged electric vehicle will undergo revisions in 2023.Even though the automaker with its headquarters in Wolfsburg claims that this ID.3 will be a model of the second generation, the teasers make it abundantly clear that it will more closely resemble a facelift.The front bumper appears sportier from what we can tell, and the LED graphics on the taillights have been updated.

Inside the cabin, where VW promises to improve quality, will be the most significant modifications.Additionally, the center console will be redesigned to accommodate two cup holders, and the touchscreen’s diagonal will be increased from the current 10-inch to 12-inch size.The EV will be more practical with a removable compartment floor in the back.

The software, one of the VW ID.3’s and Golf’s early issues, will be improved once more.To further enhance functionality, over-the-air updates will follow.The Travel Assist with Swarm Data and the Park Assist Plus with Memory Function, both new assist systems from Volkswagen, boast improved infotainment performance.VW asserts that it has "listened to its customers and implemented many of their suggestions" in the official preview that was released today.

From 2023 on, the ID.3 will also be made in Wolfsburg, Germany, at the Zwickau and Dresden factories.The decision has been made in response to the strong demand from customers for the compact electric hatch.The refreshed model is already available for pre-configured Life, Business, Style, Max, and Tour orders in Germany.

The updated ID.3 won’t be delivered until the fourth quarter of next year because of the large backlog of orders.The GTX-badged version is still unknown, but VW has confirmed that a performance model will follow.
