The 2027 McLaren MCL-HY FIA Hypercar is McLaren Racing’s new production facility for the FIA World Endurance Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans, marking the brand’s return to the sport’s ideal Class A for lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis in LCOH/IMM DH regulations. With a twin-turbo-charged V6 racing engine, and a hybrid MGU system of 520 kW (707 PS) with a minimum racing weight of 1.030 kg, the hypercar balances explosive acceleration and high-speed stability against the performance and endurance required for long-distance power racing.

Developed in close collaboration between McLaren Racing and McLaren Automotive, the MCL?HY combines hardcore track engineering with the signature design of the logo DNA LMDh?compliant powertrains and chassis are tuned to venture further the Hypercar theme, targeting the May 2020 platform and direct. extensive on-tune effort will refine aerodynamics, chassis balance and power-handling techniques to maximize drivetrain confidence and race-distance performance
