What sets this European iteration of the G90 apart is Genesis’ commendable effort to tailor it specifically for the discerning tastes of the European market. This investment goes beyond mere lip service, as the luxury marque also sells the G70 Shooting Brake exclusively in Europe, depriving the American market of this automotive gem. Genesis has promised to equip the European models with sumptuous levels of luxury and an extensive list of standard features, aiming to give its competitors, such as the mighty Maybach S-Class, a real run for their money.

While the engine lineup remains shrouded in mystery, it’s worth noting that the US-spec G90 offers a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine, optionally accompanied by an electric supercharger. The entry-level powerplant boasts a respectable output of 375 horsepower and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque, while the more muscular variant flexes its muscles with 409 horsepower and 549 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque.

As for its dimensions, the SWB model stretches an impressive 5,275 millimeters (or 207.7 inches) in length, with a wheelbase of 3,180 millimeters (or 125.2 inches). On the other hand, the LWB version elongates to 5,465 millimeters (or 215.2 inches) in length, while maintaining a wheelbase of 3,370 millimeters (or 132.7 inches). Both variants share a width of 1,930 millimeters (or 76 inches) and a height of 1,490 millimeters (or 58.7 inches). The weight of the G90 ranges from 2,025 kilograms (or 4,464 pounds) to 2,345 kilograms (or 5,170 pounds), depending on the equipment level and wheelbase length.

Genesis has certainly taken its time to bestow Europe with the presence of the second-generation G90. Now that the opulent sedan has finally graced the continent, it aims to captivate the hearts and minds of discerning European buyers with its elegance, luxury, and bespoke touches. Better late than never, they say, and Genesis is determined to make a grand entrance into the European automotive arena.
