BMW just accidentally spilled the beans on their latest concept car, the Skytop, and let me tell you, it’s a whole vibe. This thing is like a sleek, targa-topped lovechild of the 8 Series and the Z8, and it’s giving us serious retro-futuristic feels.

Imagine this: a stretched-out 8 Series with a roof you can pop off for maximum wind-in-your-hair action. Then throw in some seriously sharp body lines, slim headlights that look like they mean business, and a return to the classic BMW shark nose. It’s basically the automotive equivalent of a power suit with a popped collar – assertive yet undeniably cool.

The back takes things in a slightly softer direction, channeling the iconic Z8 with smooth lines and those oh-so-thin taillights. But don’t be fooled by the smooth curves – those dual exhaust pipes say this ain’t no electric toy. Bimmer is clearly here to remind us that they haven’t forgotten how to make a head-turning gas guzzler.

We only got a peek at the inside, but from what we saw, it’s dripping in luxury. Think red-brown leather everywhere (because what screams luxury more than a good saddle?), accented with enough crystals to make Liberace jealous. The whole thing looks like a proper driver’s cockpit too, with a traditional gear selector and that sweet rotary iDrive controller we all know and love.
