Latest Update: 2027 Ford Bronco Frostwarden unveiled in November 2026, but pricing is mysterious yet.

A one-off, extreme search-and-rescue concept vehicle, the Ford Bronco Frostwarden, debuted at the 2026 SEMA Show, primarily to show off Ford Performance’s new Megazilla 2.0 crate engine. The Frostwarden SUV itself isn’t meant for production, but its monstrous powerplant is a rolling hardware testbed. It packs a supercharged 7.3-liter V8 with a 3.0-liter Gen 6 Whipple supercharger, forged internals and modified block architecture to crank out a mind-blowing 1,200+ ponies on race fuel. That makes it the highest-output crate engine ever developed by a major production automaker directly. Commercial sales will commence via authorized distributors.

The Frostwarden concept is heavily upgraded with heavy-duty off-road and arctic-extraction hardware to match its absurd power plant. It rides on 74Weld portal axles and custom Bilstein dampers paired with upgraded Dana driveline components to allow clearance for massive 42-inch BF18-inch Weld beadlock wheels wrapped in Goodrich tires. The build is finished in a striking black-and-yellow search-and-rescue livery, and rounded out with functional auxiliary equipment including a front winch, a prominent roof light bar, tailgate-mounted fuel cans and a roof-mounted spare tire.

Q: How much horsepower does Bronco Frostwarden have?

A: Over 1,200 hp from a supercharged 7.3L V8 "Megazilla 2.0" engine.
