Rough calculations suggest a full charge from 0 to 100 percent could take around 30 hours. Furthermore, the IQ can guzzle up to 19.2 kW from AC power; using a 240-volt outlet dishing out such power, the SUV will be back to full charge in approximately 13 hours, adding around 37 miles of range per hour.

Powering the Escalade IQ’s wheels are dual permanent-magnet motors, offering a standard all-wheel drive configuration. These motors churn out 680 horsepower and a formidable 615 pound-feet of torque in the SUV’s regular drive mode. Engage the Velocity Max mode, and the figures skyrocket to a jaw-dropping 750 hp and 785 lb-ft, propelling the ’Slade to 60 mph in a heart-pounding sub-5-second dash. As for towing capability, Cadillac estimates a substantial 8,000-pound haul. The IQ comes outfitted with one-pedal driving and adjustable brake regeneration, complemented by a heat pump integrated into the five-zone automatic climate control system, which smartly trims down energy consumption.
