Latest Update: 2028 Honda Ridgeline is anticipated to launch in 2028 (after a 2026 pause), may have a price range of $42,000 to $45,000.

Honda is on track to launch a symbol-new Ridgeline for 2028, after which the truck has taken rapid damage this year. The biggest question about the new version is size and frame. For two decades, the Ridgeline built its reputation on a "unibody" configuration - meaning it’s built like an SUV rather than a heavy-duty truck. Although this makes it ride smooth and feel nice, many truck customers wanted a traditional "body-over-frame" configuration, which looks and feels tighter. Making it much more robust, although they haven’t formally said whether they’re sticking with the sleek SUV-fashion design or a traditional truck-frame.

Designed in California and built in Ohio and Alabama, the 2028 Ridgeline will recognize on more power delivery and better off-road performance. It is expected to convert its old engine to a more upgraded V6, with a strong possibility of a hybrid option to provide more towing power and better fuelage.

Q: Is the 2028 Honda Ridgeline switching to a traditional truck?

A: Honda has not officially confirmed it yet. While management dropped hints presumably by making the truck tons extra robust - leaving room for speculation and presumably a traditional "body-on-frame" design - sticking to its clean-drive "unibody" configuration remains the most cost-effective option because it stocks Pilots and Paports components Honda.
