Mazda’s launching its all-new 2026 Mazda 6e pretty soon, and it’s a big deal cuz it’s bringing the company into the electric car game. They’re planning to sell this electric sedan in places like the UK and Europe, and it’s taking the place of the old Mazda 6, which they stopped making in 2023. Keep an eye out for it hitting the streets in left-hand drive spots towards the end of 2025, with a UK debut a bit later in early 2026. As their second total electric ride, Mazda’s looking to go toe-to-toe with big shots like Tesla’s Model 3 and BMW’s i4. They packed it with cool style, zip and space making it a solid choice for folks wanting to go electric.

For juice, the Mazda 6e is coming with a choice of two batteries. There’s a 68.8 kWh one that can go up to 300 miles, and a bigger 80 kWh one that gets you more like 345 miles. Both are rear-wheel drive, and they’re made to charge fast—like getting from 10% to 80% in just 22 minutes if you hook it up to a 200 kW charger. Now, the base model, that’s got about 258 horsepower and can hustle from 0 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds. The one with more range has a bit less oomph but still clocks a cool 7.8 seconds.

When it comes to looks, the Mazda 6e is all about this new Kodo Soul of Motion vibe they’ve got going. It’s got a slick shape, a low roof, and doors without frames making it look pretty sporty. Up front, there’s this LED-lit grille that changes when the battery’s charging, which is a neat touch. And it doesn’t just look good—it’s made to cut through the air like a champ thanks to stuff like a moving spoiler at the back.

Inside, the Mazda 6e keeps it clean and simple, with a Japanese twist. It’s decked out with high-tech goodies such as a big touchscreen and a see-through display that pops up info right in the driver’s line of sight. It’s practical too offering lots of room for your gear in the back and even a little extra space up front. All in all, Mazda’s aiming to mix up how we think about electric sedans by meshing sleek design smart tech, and a fun drive.
