Under the hood, it capabilities a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, producing 523 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque—an increase of fifty hp and 36 lb-feet over the standard M2. This strength is channeled exclusively thru an eight-speed automated transmission, with BMW opting not to offer a manual gearbox for this CS variation, a pass that can disappoint purists however underscores the auto’s focus on most performance and lap instances. The M2 CS sprints from 0 to 60 mph in a claimed 3.7 seconds and reaches an electronically restricted pinnacle velocity of 188 mph, making it both faster and greater competitive than its predecessors.

BMW has controlled to shave 97 kilos off the ordinary M2, bringing the CS’s scale back weight down to three,770 kilos in the U.S. Marketplace. This become accomplished thru significant use of carbon fiber for the roof, trunk lid, replicate caps, and rear diffuser, in addition to light-weight forged wheels and M Carbon bucket seats. The chassis has been thoroughly retuned, with unique springs, adaptive dampers, and revised stability control systems, ensuing in a ride that sits zero.2 inches lower than the usual M2 and promises sharper dealing with and greater motive force engagement on both avenue and track.

Visually, the M2 CS stands out with its pronounced ducktail spoiler, exposed carbon-fiber elements, and specific gold-hued wheels, all of which support its song-prepared intent. The interior is centered on performance, proposing M Carbon racing seats, Alcantara and Merino leather-based trim, and a three-spoke M steering wheel with dedicated M buttons for custom using modes.
